Opening School Information

        The Gibbsboro School successfully opened on Thursday, September 6th at 8:15 AM for the 2001-2002 School Year.   The lunch menu is sent home weekly.   The cost of lunch will be $1.60 per day or $8.00 for a full five-day week.  Lunch will be available on a daily basis but must be ordered a week in advance.  Snack milk will cost 20 cents a day for kindergarten children and each kindergarten child should bring $1.40 for the week if they wish it for the first seven days of school.  The cost goes up to $2.45 for orange juice.  After the first week of school, snack milk, orange juice and lunch will be ordered and paid for on Wednesdays.  If a child is going to be absent for lunch (due to illness, etc.), the parent can cancel the lunch and receive a refund if the parent calls the school office by 8:30 AM the day of the absence.

    Emergency cards were sent home with the opening school day letter.  Both sides should be completed and returned to school on September 6th.  A reminder notice will be sent home about Picture Day, September 24th.  All pictures are prepaid based upon the package selected for each child.  

    All students in grades 3-8 are eligible to ride a bicycle to school.  Students must wear an approved bicycle helmet to and from school.  Rollerblades and skateboards are prohibed on school property.
