JOSEPH J. FALLON, JR.
BOROUGH COUNCIL

When people ask Joe Fallon what he feels is most important for Gibbsboro, he replies "our children" because they are our future. When he and his wife Mary Ann moved to Gibbsboro, they made a commitment not just to live here, but to give their best to the community. Joe and MaryAnn live on Ridgewood Road with daughter Sara, and son Brett, both Eastern High School graduates and now college students.

The philosophy Joe lived by during his nine years on Borough Council was keeping an open mind and keeping taxes down so Gibbsboro remains affordable for all its residents. He believes open communication between elected officials and citizens is the key to good local government. Having a bi-partisan council allows for open communication and greater examination of all proposed projects by Borough Council. "When people have problems or questions, they need answers right away.'

A former Co-President of Project Graduation, this worthwhile project found Joe spending many hours helping to raise funds for its alcohol free graduation party for students. Joe is proud that many of Gibbboro's parents have also been involved as volunteer supporters as graduates celebrate Graduation night at an all night get together down the shore.

With his commitment to education and our families, he served on the Gibbsboro Board of Education and has been involved in organizing activities for children. Many of you may remember when he and other volunteers put a new roof on the portables at the Gibbsboro School to save taxpayers money, the summer arts and crafts program at the school, the summer basketball games on the courts, or devoting his time supervising the "Monday Night Basketball Players' at Eastern High School.

A small business owner, he has first hand knowledge of the economic impact of taxes and dealing with state and municipal codes. Joe knows the cost of repairs and was instrumental in assisting with the Mr. Fix-It Program that has helped seniors with small home projects to help save them money.

Joe has unselfishly dedicated his life to his family and Gibbsboro.
